Our day as Marine Corps recruits!

I'm so proud of my team, "The Ball Busters"!

Three of us competed in the San Diego 'Boot Camp Challenge' this past Saturday, 10/4/08.

Lesli Washington, Josephine Fallah, and myself left the LBC just before 6am to make the trek down to the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in SD.

We were set to race along a 3-mile track, chock full with obstacles used by the Marine Corps.
Oh, and peppered with actual Drill Sergeants.

So, at 0935 sharp, we crossed the starting line among a huge stampede of other 3-person teams.

We ran over big stacks of hay bales, crawled through tunnels, climbed over high obstacles, ducked under low obstacles, got yelled at by big, burly Marine men, and busted out a bunch of pushups.

Well, Josephine did 'cheat' and skip one pushup station. Check it out in this quick video... She's the one running by in the pink shirt saying "suckers" to Lesli and I. Brat!

Check back in tomorrow to hear how we did!
