Helpful Pushup Tips, Part 1

So, after last week's pushup post, I had some requests to post some info about:

  • correct pushup technique
and
  • drills for improving pushup performance

To give you a rock-solid example of a perfect pushup, I've created this new video...

Thanks Kim! That was very helpful. I realize now that I was told by someone else incorrect form. I was told to keep my elbows in next to my side-- all the way in so this clarification helps, that it doesn't have to be brushing up against your side but should still be slightly tucked. Thanks so much! Excellent posts!

The description you posted is of a Close Grip Pushups. Close Grip Pushups target your triceps more than standard Pushups.
