I'm back! To a fresh, new start :)

Wow! It's been a while since I've written anything on my blog.
So why start it up again, now - you ask?

Well, I've had a shift in mindset lately.
...A renewal of my inner energy and a new motivation to share that energy with others who might need a pick-me-up or a kick in the pants. :)

What happened to bring about this new outlook?

Well, I've always been active, and I've always been a bit of a gym rat... but for the longest time, I've lacked motivation. I've been working out just because I feel that I must. And just because I know how hard it is to return to activity once you've stopped!

But lately, I've made a change. I've sought out some new activities. And without planning it, those new activities have really helped me to enjoy exercise again! And not only that, I've reconnected with a part of myself that had unknowingly become dormant.

In the past two months of challenging myself with Cross Fit workouts, learning how to defend myself in Krav Maga classes, getting my butt kicked in Kickboxing bag classes, and taking the occasional hip-hop dance master class... I've recently discovered that:

- I'm the most happy when I allow myself to be physical.
When I allow myself to dance, kick, punch, run, throw, move - and when that movement is engaging and exciting... that just makes my day amazing!

- I'm the most satisfied with myself when I add challenge to that physical activity.
When I take a high level dance class, aim for better kickboxing technique, push myself to my limit in my workouts, or just work harder, harder, harder even when I'm already exhausted...I 'm incredibly proud, content, and fulfilled.

- Being physical gives me a sort of peace.
It increases my self-confidence, allows me to think more clearly, and helps me to be more content with my life as a whole. Because I know that if I can meet a tough physical challenge,
all other challenges are totally attainable. And I'm ready to attack those challenges... (grrr)

It's so empowering to realize those discoveries! To recognize the keys to my happiness.

You can see my excitement, can't you?

Well, what makes YOU happy, fulfilled, and excited?
What makes you feel like a whole person at the end of the day?
And are you incorporating that "thing" into your life, your week, your every day?

Think about it.
Are you happy? Does your physicality help you feel fulfilled (like me)?
Leave a message about it, if you wanna share.

And stay tuned for more of my recent epiphanies...

Maybe they'll help you make some of your own!
