Fight Gone Bad...

This past Saturday, I joined my fellow Cross Fitters at Cross Fit 360 in Signal Hill, CA.
Instead of a normal Saturday morning workout, we were doing a workout for charity - a workout appropriately named "Fight Gone Bad".

And besides raising money for charity through donations, the goal of this workout was to accumulate the most points (each repetition or calorie burned was marked down as a point).
So, we were ready to push ourselves to the limit, fo sho!

Honestly - although I love a physical challenge (like I mentioned in the last post)... I was a bit nervous for this one. I've been doing pretty well at Cross Fit and people were counting on me to pull off a great performance. I could not disappoint. I couldn't back down or slow down.

Well, as you'll be able to see from the photos I post tomorrow, everyone was beaten to a pulp by the workout's end. It truly was a fight to the finish. But what a proud accomplishment to have finished such a strenuous task... phew!

Two great things I'd like to add before you take a look at the video below:

1) A big THANK YOU to all the people that made donations to Athletes for a Cure and the Wounded Warrior Project in my name. We brought in a little under $500 in a small two-week period. Rock on!

2) I'm excited to report that I received the best score among all the butt-kickin' females at my Cross Fit gym! With a score of 337, they say I now have bragging rights AND I'll be making up a new workout named "KimBall". Wow. I'll keep you posted on what I choose (ha ha ha! - evil laugh)

Now, if you have a moment, take a look at the video I shot after FGB was over (and after a couple celebratory beers, of course!). It's about a 90 second vid.

I offer up an action for you to take at the end. So, check it out!

Yeah! You've got a video up! You beat me to it. Still working on mine :-). I agree with you wholeheartedly, Kim, that pushing ourselves is really important. The sense of accomplishment after completing something we thought we couldn't do is exhilarating.
Here's to us all pushing ourselves a little further than we think we can go.
